The Committee on Language Development and Socio-Political Work of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Shayakhmetov Republican Coordination and Methodological Center of development of languages in the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan will organize a seminar on the theme «Modernization of Public Consciousness: a new Kazakh alphabet and the implementation of the state program».

The aim of the seminar is to discuss the following issues: Implementation of the State program for the Development and Functioning of Languages for 2011-2020; teaching English and other languages; methodology of standardization and improvement the teaching of the state language; lexical fund systematization; planning for the system of work performed and concretization of their results; theoretical and scientific-practical organization to introduce of the new Kazakh alphabet.

Reports on the activities of the working groups (spelling, methodological, terminological, technical and information support) which were established in four directions under the National Commission will hear in the seminar.

The event will attend by specialists from the Committee on Language Development and Socio-Political Work of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, philologists, representatives of central state and local executive bodies, representatives of the intelligentsia, the media.
