Primary purpose of onomastic electronic base is unification of onomastic names by means of collection of information on names of streets, population centers, institutions and different objects in regions of the country and creation of single base of Kazakh onomastics.

Site “termincom.kz” contributes to classification of Kazakh vocabulary, complement of terminological reserve, matching of terms and names with norms of Kazakh language. All terms, which are used nowadays, are given on the site for achievement of this objective.

The national scientific-practical center Til-Kazyna named after Shaisultan Shayakhmetov has been opened in Astana.

The center has been created through reorganization of the Republican coordination-methodological center of languages development named after Shayakhmetov.

Til-Kazyna will coordinate interdepartmental work for transfer of the Kazakh language into the Latin alphabet, it will provide fundamental and applied research in the field of philology, language study, develop spelling rules of the Kazakh language in the Latin graphics, provide approbation and scientific-methodological support.
