On April 25, 2018, in framework of implementation of the policy article “The Course towards Future: Modernization of Public Consciousness” Pavlodar Oblast Languages Development Department held a seminar on “The Importance of the State Language in the Service Sector” with the leaders of the competent authorities and representatives of the areas of public services.

The aim of the seminar is to increase the demand for the state language in the public sphere, to provide quality services to the population in the state language, and also to gradually change over the Kazakh alphabet to Latin script.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the competent authorities (Public Prosecution Office, Justice, State Revenue Department), leaders and representatives of branches of banks of Pavlodar Oblast, pawnshops, hotel complexes, major shopping malls, Kazpost, JSC, Kazakhtelecom, the Centre of Public Services, the Tram Department, bus station and car parks, the media.

During the workshop, individual entrepreneurs and owners of service areas discussed the need to use the state language in all spheres, improvement of the state language, maintaining a balanced language policy in accordance with the Message of the Head of State and received answers to questions from the representatives of the competent authorities under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
