US to fund Kazakhstani English language training program
The United States expressed readiness to support the Government of Kazakhstan to build a trilingual society by 2050.
The United States will provide a development program to improve access to English language training and the preparation of a new generation of English language teachers in Kazakhstan. In 2017, more than 2,800 Kazakhstani teachers of English took part in Internet seminars on professional development.
In 2018, American teachers will help improve the methodology of teaching English in the regions of Kazakhstan.
In addition, the program "Micro-scholarships for access to English" helped 480 young students from disadvantaged families attend classes after school and engage in summer camps.
We note that the United States funds the "English for journalists" program, which will improve the professional qualifications of 230 Kazakhstani journalists.
We note, following the talks between the Heads of Kazakhstan and the United States, a number of commercial contracts and documents were signed in the White House.
