Presentation of the Republican informative and cognitive newspaper “Til-Qazyna” was held in Astana
Presentation of the Republican informative and cognitive newspaper “Til-Qazyna” organized by the National scientific-practical center “Til-Kazyna” named after Shaisultan Shayakhmetov of the Committee of language policy of the Ministry of culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held today in Astana in the National academic library.
“Til-Kazyna” newspaper is designed to promote the Kazakh alphabet in Latin script, explanation of new spelling rules. Information about the new alphabet, cognitive materials will be published in it under the rubric of “Alipbi”, “Rukhani Zhangyru”, “Kie”, “Galam”, “Emle”, “Sarap” and “Tanym”.
“After 90 years, Kazakhstan again began to publish newspapers in Latin script. We believe that this is a good trend for all of us. The newspaper will occupy a large place in the public space. It will not only report the news, but also give the opportunity to learn to read the Latin alphabet, to write competently”, - said Minister of culture and sports of RK Arystanbek Mukhamediuly at the presentation ceremony in the National library.
The newspaper will be published in A3 format on 8 pages. At first it is planned to publish it 2 times a month.
We remind that the proposal on transition to the Latin script was made by the Head of state in his program article “Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity”. On October 27, 2017, President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a Decree on transition of the Kazakh alphabet from Cyrillic to the Latin script.
