QazForum 2020 platform gathers creators of Kazakh language media content. Nur-Sultan hosts the forum for the 4th time. The project started as a small conference and has grown to a large-scale platform. The organizers said that this year’s forum has a new theme.

More than 200 participants attended the forum. The number of applicants this year has increased as well. Creators of the forum said that this shows a growing interest in Kazakh language media content.

“Technological changes are taking place not only in Kazakhstan but also worldwide. We all know that the ways of information transmission are developing constantly via various networks, social networks, and others. The most notable thing in today’s first session was the active participation of journalists. They had a discussion and exchanged opinions with each other. It made me happy,” said Executive Director of Kazakh Press Club, Saken Balbayev.

“This forum has become one of the traditional gatherings in the Kazakh media market. This is an excellent platform to analyze prospects of Kazakh language media as well as to look for new ways. My colleagues share their ideas and talk about the differences in their media projects. They share the life hacks that they know. This is an advantage of this forum,” said Political Scientist, Aidos Sarym.

Experts, journalists, and bloggers noted that the Kazakh-language audience has gained dominance over the Internet. This indicates the increase in the potential of monetizing the Kazakh language media content.
