Abai’s Words of Edification will be published in the Czech language. The translation will be done by the writer, Vladislav Kuchik. He said that he heard about the great Kazakh poet from Kazakh students who study in Prague. However, he could not find any poems of Abai in the Czech language. Therefore, Vladislav came up with the idea to translate the works of the famous Kazakh philosopher and made it available to the general public. The writer plans to finish the translation work in August. The official presentation of the book will be held in autumn with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic.

“I searched for Abai’s book in the Czech language and I only found one copy in an antique shop that was published in 1969. I became really interested in his works. Abai wrote about friendship, tolerance, humanity and human behavior in the 19th century. So much time has passed since then but these principles and advice are still relevant today,” Kuchik said.
