Primary purpose of onomastic electronic base is unification of onomastic names by means of collection of information on names of streets, population centers, institutions and different objects in regions of the country and creation of single base of Kazakh onomastics.

In early January, UNESCO published an updated atlas of endangered languages. In Russia, the organization counted 136 languages that are in danger. 20 languages were disappeared, another 22 languages which are considered to be in critical condition.
