On March 5 this year, courses for all categories of citizens of the Pavlodar Oblast Department for Development of Languages began. The lectures on “Linguistics and the Latin alphabet” were held at the courses. During the lectures, the questions of phased transition of the Kazakh alphabet into Latin script, initiated in “View to the Future: Modernization of Public Consciousness” program article of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev, were announced.

The purpose of the event is to promote the benefits of introducing and applying Latin letters, the need to learn Kazakh in Latin script due to global changes connected with integration into the world space, the formation and consolidation of the prestigious image of a bearer of the state language in the public consciousness.

Employees of various institutions, organizations and enterprises of the Oblast took part in the event.
