On March 15, 2018, at 11.00 o’clock in the regional library named after S. Toraigyrov “Topical issues in terminology” online information hour for linguists-specialists was held, organized by the Department on languages development of Pavlodar Oblast. The event was organized within the framework of the article of the Head of the State  “The course Towards Future: Modernization of Public Consciousness”.

The purpose of the event was to raise the level of language culture, revive interest and respect for traditions and history.

Currently, one of the topical problems in linguistics are the issues of terminology. Initially, the issues of terminology began to appear in the 30s of the twentieth century and still remain relevant. The comprehensive development of all branches of science is closely connected with terminology. Nowadays, the status of the state language requires the extension of the scope of application in important sectors of public life, its development prospects and scale are associated with the development of national terminology.

As a rule, the formation of terms in the terminological system is connected with a new concept or phenomenon in the world space. These issues were discussed at the information hour.

Scientists from the universities of Pavlodar G.T. Karipzhanova, Y.B.Shakaman, A.O. Karipzhanova, as well as specialists of the Departments of Culture and Development of Languages of cities, regions, state bodies of the Oblast, took part in this event.
